There has been a Methodist Church in Saltburn since 1865 and today, almost 160 years later, we are still actively involved and working together to make the love of God known in Saltburn.
Services are held on a Sunday morning, followed by a cup of tea, and there is also a midweek service, held on a Wednesday morning, after which participants can share further fellowship. We also hold a weekly prayer meeting and monthly bible study.
We hold a variety of church groups and activities including a toddler group, Sunday school and Rainbows. Our craft group supports church funds by making items to sell at coffee mornings and craft stalls. Our women's fellowship group meets twice a month and enjoys a variety of speakers throughout the year.
The church being in the centre of the town is also a focus for many other groups, such as choirs, U3A, keep fit, dance classes, the Men's Forum, craft fairs and the Saltburn Music Festival.
Saltburn Methodist Church also works with the other churches in Saltburn including Emmanuel, the Parish Church, Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church and Saltburn Evangelical Church. This is in a partnership known as 'Churches Together' which provides the opportunity to worship and work tougher throughout the year.
