Hello! I wanted to introduce myself so that you have more of an idea of who the new minister in town will be. My name is Meg Peters and I love all things books, dogs, and running! Growing up I wanted to be a math teacher, but God had other plans. I graduated from University with a degree in Mathematics, but instead of going to teach I served as a missionary with the General Board of Global Ministries with the United Methodist Church. I was in South Korea for five months and Japan for fourteen months. While I was overseas I knew that God was calling me to full time ministry. I attended Seminary at Princeton Theological Seminary in New Jersey and then moved back to North Carolina to serve in the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church. I am on my second appointment and currently serve as the Minister of Outreach at Centenary United Methodist Church in Winston Salem, North Carolina. I love meeting new people and trying new things! I am always excited about new ways to be in ministry and look forward to dreaming with all of you different ways we can serve together. My husband Luke and I were married on 10 December, 2022. We both love being outdoors, hiking, and staying active. Luke has his own painting business, and works as a decorator and contractor. We are so grateful for the work of the Holy Spirit and all that has led us to move to Redcar. We cannot wait to be in ministry with you, and are excited about all there is to learn and all that we can share!
